Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need and how often do I need them?
Everyone is unique, and faces different circumstances in life that can be stressful. My recommendation is to have a Body Connection session at least once a month if not twice per month, to ensure you are releasing stress from your body and for optimal healing.
If you are struggling with a particular issue or are in pain, then come weekly until that is released. Then slowly increase the time in between sessions.
This has worked well for myself and my family. Over the years Body Connection has helped build up our immune systems, and if we start to feel out of sorts a session soon sorts it out.
Body Connection is the therapy I choose above any other for my family.
What can I expect during a session?
During your first session, your medical history will be taken.
You will lie face down on the therapy bed (fully clothed), while the practitioner does a series of tests to determine where the blockages are. These blockages will then be released with light pressure. There is no cracking or popping of the spine involved.
A session is approximately 30 minutes.
What causes blockages in the body?
Trauma / Shock / Stress. This can be a physical trauma, like a car accident, falling off a horse or even having an anaesthetic. Emotional trauma can also cause blockages in the body.
Stress plays a major role in physical pain in the body. We all face stress in our daily lives and this can accumulate in the body.
Body Connection will release both these kinds of trauma – physical and emotional. Once communication is re-established between brain & body, healing begins. This may not all happen after one session, but the brain will work through these blockages in an orderly way over time.
Can the brain heal older injuries?
Yes, your body has cellular memory from birth.
The brain has memory of injury, trauma, or past illnesses.
For example, a client may have been in a car accident at age 21, but only start to experience neck or back pain when he reaches his 40’s.
When you start healing after a Body Connection session, the cellular memory that contributed to health issues / injury needs to re-establish balance in your body. This may involve the release of toxins and cellular regeneration in order to restore homeostasis.
When your brain accesses and heals older injuries, this process is known as “retracing”. This may cause tiredness or headaches, a rash or aches and pains – depending on your history. Each person is unique.
Most healing reactions are mild and pass quickly – they are perfectly normal and a positive sign as the body heals and energy increases.
